The War Against Iran Continues

Until Trump’s Morale Improves

I caught this headline at the New York Times this AM:

World

Analysis of Satellite Image and Videos Suggest Precision U.S. Strikes on Iranian Water Facility

It is unclear if the U.S. intentionally struck the facility or knew what it was. Deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure could constitute a war crime.

*****

America’s leaders are always boasting of precision weaponry. Yet the NYT suggests that a precision strike against an Iranian water facility was possibly unintentional, an accident, I guess. Since an intentional strike against critical infrastructure (you can’t get more critical than potable water) for civilians would constitute a war crime—and obviously America would never do that!

Even asking that question, self-styled Secretary of War Pete Hegseth bloviated, is both “disingenuous” and “impugning” the motives of America’s military professionals.

We can’t have reporters asking questions that might impugn the motives of our brave leaders.

Hegseth seems to enjoy himself the most when he’s attacking the media for their lack of faith in him.

The Iran War, yet another disastrous war for the American people (and of course even more so for Iranians), may continue until President Trump’s morale improves. And that may prove to be a very long time. Remember when Hegseth suggested that the war would last eight weeks at most? It’s already roughly double that with no end in sight.

Check out the Iran War Clock. And the war clock keeps ticking …

  1. Not only does the destruction of civilian life support / infrastucture constitute a war crime, all unprovoked acts of military aggression constitutes war crimes, including the blockade. Given the US’s actions and threats against multiple soveriegn counties, USA could be rightly branded War Crimes R Us. As Hegseth says “We negotiate with bombs…”. A Hiltler wet dream.

  2. Hegseth shares the Trumpian combination of arrogance and contempt, openly denouncing reporters for doing what a reporter is supposed to do – ask challenging questions. We saw this with Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem, it is endemic to the whole gang. Trump looks more foolish by the day and is now known for sleeping, this from the guy who called Biden “Sleepy Joe”.

I predict Trump will go down as the worst American president with nobody else even close. Thank goodness we have independent reporting by internet that bypasses completely untrustworthy commercial media. It is a wonder that we the people ever trusted ABC-CBS-NBC but, then again, we had nothing to compare them to beyond such as I.F. Stone, Seymour Hersh and Noam Chomsky who did not have instant internet access to the public.

    1. The worst American president and almost the entirety of the Senate, House, Judiciary and “Intelligence” are so thoroughly corrupt that Trump may well be the LAST American president. The trend has been in this direction since before I was born (a very long time ago). The American people have been systematically propagandized to the point of knowing almost nothing and caring even less. In the 60s & 70s I was confident that peace and justice was on the rise. And perhaps it was. I never imagined that the worst of the worst would eventually call all the shots and that elections would not matter. I suppose if The People became conscious again, something good could still happen. Thanks to Bill Astore and so many other courageous souls speaking in public… anything IS possible.
